WE HAVE OFFICIALLY MADE THE SWITCH - WE ARE NOW LIVING THE ALPACA LIFESTYLE!!!

WELCOME TO DREAM CATCHER RANCH LOCATED IN BEAUTIFUL GILES COUNTY TENNESSEE
Our Farm was started because of our love of animals. Our home is our animals home. We strive to bring to our animals the same joy that our animals bring to us. Each of our four-legged family members have names and personalities to match. We moved here from Ocoee, Florida in March '06. Ed retired from Walt Disney World after working there 34 1/2 years and I had worked at Walt Disney World a little over 18 years. Our twin daughters were 14 years old and we decided if we were going to follow our dream of having a farm that it was now the time to give it a try. We sold our house in Ocoee. And after searching all over Tennessee, we finally located our dream house/property here in Giles County. Giles County is a beautiful place and we are proud to now call it our home. Our property consists of 19 acres of woods and pasture we started out as a small goat farm. We enjoyed our goats but there comes a time where you must make some changes. With the thought of doing something different, we started researching everything we could find on Alpacas. We went to our first Alpaca show in Shelbyville, Tn in early March 2012 and spoke to just about every breeder there. We came home with so much information. We have had the opportunity to visit several area Alpaca farms and everyone has been so helpful answering our many questions on the care and well being of these beautiful animals. We decided to finally make that leap into Alpaca ownership in late May 2012. I am sure we will be considered "Newbies" for some time to come but I feel confident that the friends we have made along the way will be around to answer any questions or concerns we might have.

Our goal is to have happy and healthy Alpacas. All our Alpacas are treated with respect, love, and care. We do not think of our Alpacas as livestock but more as devoted family companions and friends. We are starting out with the thought of being more involved in the fiber side of the alpaca business and maybe later going into breeding. |

Our Grandson, Averee, loves spending time on the farm and with all the animals - especially the puppies. Here he is playing with one of our Akbash/Pyrenees pups from one of Sassy's litters.
